Join Us for Our Summer Camp Counselor Hiring Event!

We are excited to invite all aspiring Summer Camp Counselors to our Hiring Event on Sunday, May 18th, from 1:00–4:00 PM at the YMCA of Sequim (610 N. 5th Ave, Sequim, WA 98382).

* We will start promptly at 1:00 PM, so please arrive early to give yourself some time to settle in. *

This event is a fantastic opportunity to:
✅ Meet fellow counselor candidates
✅ Participate in team activities
✅ Connect with leadership staff through a group interview process

Showcase Your Skills!

Be prepared to facilitate a short camp-related activity—a song, game, or exercise—lasting no more than five minutes. Need inspiration? Feel free to explore ideas on Google, Pinterest, TikTok, etc!

What to Expect

You will be in groups and will participate in three key components:
1️⃣ Activity Facilitation – Lead a fun camp activity
2️⃣ Camp Scenarios – Engage in real-life camp role-playing
3️⃣ Group Interview – Q&A session highligting your camp counselor potential

Logistics

If you need transportation from Port Angeles or Port Townsend, we have got you covered! Shuttle service will be available from the YMCA branch in each location. Spots are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to sign up here to reserve your seat.

❗Attendance at this event is required as part of the hiring process. However, if you are absolutely unable to attend, please indicate this in your RSVP, and we will discuss alternative interview options on a case-by-case basis.
